Description

##################################
#~~~~Godfrey's Universal Orb Installer v1.5~~~~#
##################################

: DESCRIPTION:

This installer was made in order to remove the hassle of manually replacing the start Orb
when installing new Windows 7 Visual Styles. It replaces the explorer.exe file and restore
the original explorer.exe file. It also creates a System Restore Point before messing with
any files to ensure you have a way to fix your computer if it fails miserably.

:!WARNING!:

I do not ensure that this will work, nor do I ensure it won't permanently damage your
computer. It works fine for me but I can't guarantee anything for you. Always backup before
messing with system files. I am not responsible if this script ruins your computer.

:FILES:

=Universal_Orb_Installer.cmd

This file should be run in a tree like this:

InstallerDirectory\x64\explorer.exe
InstallerDirectory\x86\explorer.exe
InstallerDirectory\RestorePoint.vbs
InstallerDirectory\Universal_Orb_Installer.cmd

It will detect your OS version and install the apropriate Orb (As long as it's in the
right folder, All it knows is what it's told).
(This is helpfull for Visual Style Artists to organize data.)

=RestorePoint.vbs

This creates a System Restore Point in case something fails during installation. It is
automatically run by Universal_Orb_Installer.cmd so there is no need to mess with it.

NOTE: If there are any spaces in your directory path, this file will not run and you will
get an error. If you don't care about the restore point then just click "OK" and ignore
this. Otherwise, move all the files to a path with no spaces (If in doubt, just copy the
whole folder to your desktop and it should work. You can move it elsewhere later.).

:Known Bugs:

=Notification Area bug (NAbug)

After you install or restore your Orb you may find that all of the icons in the Notification
Area (next to the system time on your taskbar) have disappeared.

To fix this, open your task manager and go to the "Processes" tab. End the process "explorer.exe"
(all windows, the taskbar, and icons should disappear) and go over to the "Applications" tab.
Click "New Task" and enter "explorer.exe in the text field. Hit enter and everything should pop
back up (you may need to give it a second).

Alternatively, you could just logoff and back on or restart your computer.

If anyone knows why it does this and how to fix it I would greatly appreciate it.

:FUTURE CHANGES:

Currently working on an installer for commonly patched dlls and other system files.
Also working on fix for NAbug.
